Archetypes are universal patterns, emotional, psychological and psycho-spiritual, that guide and shape our responses and experiences, sometimes consciously, sometimes unconsciously. Think about your favorite childhood stories and movies, and it is likely you will find a classic hero or heroine’s journey within the plot. Perhaps you were intrigued by legends of the Greek gods and goddesses, each depicting an archetype that ruled some aspect of the whole. Maybe you went through a vampire story phase, or you adored stories of magicians or witches—more archetypes. Even now as an adult, when you look around, you likely can readily identify archetypal patterns in others—the Mother, the Networker, the Victim, the Damsel, the Queen, the Knight or the Rescuer perhaps.
Each archetype has both shadow and light. In the shadow, if left to function unconsciously, an archetype may keep us fated to repeat painful cycles. Operating from its light aspect, and particularly as we become more aware of habitual patterns, that same archetype offers guidance and companionship that allows us to step more fully into destiny. Our archetypes become guides towards activating and fulfilling our individual sacred contract and pointing us towards the highest potential of each moment and of our lives. When we identify the patterns or templates that are most alive our own lives, we are better able to step into and embrace aspects that better serve us and our world. Archetypal consulting becomes a profound means to really know yourself and to work towards personal transformation and transcendence.

Certified as an archetypal consultant through Caroline Myss's Education Division (CMED) Sacred Contacts online program, Melissa offers private and group sessions to guide you in selecting your natal archetypes (the key patterns that are with you throughout your life) and in casting in the zodiacal twelve houses and reading your resulting Chart of Origin. From there, Melissa can also help guide you through a variety of other types of archetypal wheels to receive guidance about everyday challenges, transform stuck or blocked areas or move entrenched, habitual fated expressions and step into your destiny. With her focus in mysticism, spiritual direction, Reiki and parenting, Melissa’s work in archetypal consulting recognizes the immensely spiritual dimension of going into our interior and getting to know ourselves.
